How long does a site survey last?

Our site surveys can take anything from 45 minutes to 5 hours! Our customers happiness is our priority, so we will never rush you.

How long does an installation take?

Alternatively, all of our sales team bring along a model display unit, polycarbonate samples, fabric and RAL charts for you to view and feel on our site visits.

How long does it take before you can install our veranda or glass room?

Our usual lead time is 4-6 weeks (excluding the holiday season), however we do hold many of our verandas in stock, which can be delivered and installed quicker. All lead times will be advised at the point of your enquiry.

Where are your verandas and glass rooms from?

Our Toscana range is manufactured in the UK, as is the glass used in all our roof systems. The Romagna range, and our Weinor awnings, are manufactured in Germany, and our other products are sourced from the Netherlands and wider Europe.

What glass do you use for the roof?

We believe in safety and quality, which is why we use 8.8mm laminate glass as standard in all glass roof systems, conforming to all industry guidelines. There is an option to upgrade to 10.8mm at the customer’s discretion, although this comes at an additional cost and is not often required. It may also reduce the span between posts due to the increased weight of the glass.

What materials do you use for your structures?

We use a very high-quality aluminium in all our verandas and glass rooms, providing strength, durability, and a premium look – which will last for many years to come!

What colours do you offer?

Our Toscana Bespoke range is available in anthracite grey as the standard frame colour, and the Romagna is available in anthracite grey, jet black, traffic white, and silver. You also have the option to powdercoat to any other RAL colour, for a 25% additional charge. Our Lazio, Veneto, and Piemonte are available in anthracite grey, traffic white, cream, and jet black. The Campania and Campania Deluxe are both available in anthracite grey, while our Calabria comes in anthracite grey and jet black. Lastly, the Umbria us available with an anthracite grey framework and a traffic white canvas roof. Our Weinor awnings are available in 145 standard and unique RAL colours, and some colours that are exclusive to Weinor.

Can we add lighting?

Absolutely, we offer LED lighting as an optional extra in all our verandas and awnings. If you’re considering including LEDs, our recommendation is that it’s always best to get these done as part of the initial project.

What guarantees are included?

All our installations and products are warranty-backed. Further information can be found by clicking here or visiting our Terms and Conditions.

Who makes your awnings?

We are very proud to be an exclusive Weinor specialist dealer and UK partner. As the most premium awning manufacturer on the market, we only believe is selling quality that’s built to last.

Do you do the electrical connection?

No, we do not offer any electrical connections for any of our products including the LED lighting, our louvered roofs, heaters, awnings or electric underblinds. We are not insured to carry out any electrical works on site, and this is not deemed as part of our scope of works or contract. We always recommend that you seek professional advice prior to your booking with an approved and licenced NAPIT or similar accredited body or electrician to ensure that the works can be done, or get the works carried out by them or another approved contractor.

Do you offer heating?

Yes, we offer the Weinor and Veito range of freestanding and wall mounted heaters, many of which are designed for the outdoors and are waterproof graded IP55.

What heaters should I get?

We recommend not using any open fire, gas or propane heating sources under your veranda, awning or within your glass room. Any electric heaters such as infrared heaters, should be positioned at a minimum of 350mm from any glass or polycarbonate sheet, as failure to do can result in product defects such as tension points being created due to the concentrated heat source, resulting in cracks, shattering or meting of the profiles.

When is your sale?

At Fleming Verandas we don’t believe in higher prices throughout the year just to lower them for a ‘sale’, we believe in a fair price for everyone, that’s why we offer all our customers our best price all year round.

What is the difference between a veranda, a pergola, and a canopy?

Verandas and canopies are very similar, but they do have key differences. A veranda is a “lean-to” structure, always attached to a building, with a single-sloped roof. On the other hand, a canopy is a free-standing structure. Its roof can either be a mono-pitch design, with a single slope and gutter along one side, or an apex design, which features two slopes meeting at a high point in the middle, with gutters on both sides.

A pergola, which can be either attached to a building or stand alone, has a flat roof made of aluminum louvres. These louvres can be rotated to open or close, depending on the weather, and are operated either by an electric motor or a manual winding rod.
